Hello my name is Kat this is my story. I had reached a dead end in my previous career and needed a change. I looked into massage therapy, something I had thought about before. It is very fitting with my personality. I checked out a holistic school in Petaluma, CA. I fell in love with it, but it is a private school that offered zero financial aid. There was no way for me to afford to go this school. Then I found the National Holistic Institute for Massage Therapy. Best massage school in CA, I was able to get the loans I needed. My dad help put me through school. He even bought me a car and drove it down to me so I would have a way to get to school. The program was a year long, and I loved every minute of it. I took modality, business, and science classes. I graduated on March 4th, 2010. After I got out of school I was struggling to find clients. I wasn't finding much work, so even though it was the last thing I wanted to do, I applied for a job at Massage Envy. Really, I did not go to the best massage school in CA to get paid $15 an hour for a $60 massage. Thank the Universe, the perfect situation presented itself to me the day I was suppose to hear from Massage Envy. I am now the proud owner of The Kats Meow Massage Therapy in Appearances Salon in Santa Rosa CA.
